Jigawa State Auditor-General Inaugurates Two Key Committees, Distributes Motorcycles to Staff

In a decisive move to strengthen operational effectiveness, the Office of the Jigawa State Auditor-General has inaugurated two strategic committees and distributed eight motorcycles to staff members. The event took place on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, led by the State Auditor-General, Dr. Garba Muhammad Dutse, FCA.

✅ Annual Accounts Test Check Committee Inaugurated

The first committee sworn in is tasked with conducting the Annual Accounts Test Check on the 2025 Financial Statements and Accounts of the Jigawa State Government, as submitted by the State Accountant-General. During the inauguration, Dr. Dutse underscored the committee’s critical role in ensuring the timely completion of the 2025 audit. He called for unwavering dedication and seamless teamwork among all members.

The committee is structured into a main committee and co-opted members, with a clear mandate to complete the annual audit and draft report within two months, submitting bi-weekly progress reports.

🏍️ Motorcycles Distributed to Boost Field Operations

In a related development, the Office of the Auditor-General distributed eight motorcycles to selected staff from the Audit Headquarters and Area Audit Offices across the state. According to Dr. Dutse, beneficiaries were chosen equally—four from Area Audit Offices and four from headquarters—based on need and performance.

The Director of Government Audit, Alhaji Hadi Sa’idu, advised recipients to handle the motorcycles with care and use them strictly for official duties, offering prayers for their safety. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Malam Ali Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to the Auditor-General and pledged diligent service and proper maintenance of the motorcycles.
